VIP Lighting proudly celebrates 20 years in business in 2015
Back in 1995 a need was identified to better service the retail lighting industry. In the early days clients found their shopfitters couldn’t deliver the appropriate response times and capabilities once installation was complete. With increasing occupational health and safety standards being introduced the best alternative was to pay a standard electrician to service stores. For retail chains this meant numerous accounts, wasted time with subpar service. VIP introduced the ‘no call out fee’ option and working at an installed price that delivered a much needed alternative to traditional service.
As it does today, back in the 1990’s VIP Lighting understood the needs of large retailers and commercial business. We developed an extensive network of Franchisees, exclusive contactors and sub-contractors nationwide in Australia. In 2005 that network expanded into New Zealand. Today we are a leader in delivering retail and commercial lighting and electrical solutions nationwide across Australia & New Zealand.
VIP Lighting is truly a local success story that delivers retail and commercial lighting maintenance solutions that are efficient, come with pleasant and quick service and produce consistent results.

Part of VIP Lightings 20 years of business celebrations, a new and improved website has been launched. It features our updated service offerings, new extensive retail and commercial lighting information and an enhanced job booking section. To get the digital result we were looking for we partnered with Brisbane based creative agency iCreate. We found a company with the same values as VIP Lighting that took the time to understand our needs and delivered exceptional service along the way.
Just as VIP Lighting has grown its customer base over the years it has also grown the level of services we can offer. The new website outlines all the ways we can help your business and take away a large amount of operational concern and become a great partner to work with.

VIP Lighting – A ‘Brand’ New Look
VIP Lighting release new corporate logo
Complementing the launch of the new VIP Lighting website comes a new look with a revised VIP Lighting logo. We enlisted the help of one of Australia’s premier brand guru’s in John Gearman and his team at Full Boar Graphic Design. Tasked with giving the VIP Lighting logo a clean, crisp and more modern feel while ensuring that the history and DNA of the brand remained John was on point with the final result.
Gearman has designed for some of Australia’s biggest brands as well as international companies like Warner Brothers, Disney and Paramount Studios. If you are a sports fan you’ll be sure to recognise his work across several sporting codes. Working with Full Boar Graphic Design gave us the same level of confidence and professionalism that we offering our own clients.
Over the decades VIP Lighting has evolved and grown in all areas of business and combined with our new website and brand image we look forward to the decades to come.
